Back to School

CCRCE schools will reopen their doors on September 6th 2022 for the 2022 – 2023 school year. Here is some useful information.

Bus Information Available Online

Families that have questions on student transportation may access bus information on our Bus Planner App. This is a quick and convenient way for families to confirm bus stop information. (Please note: At this time, Bus Planner is only available to families living in Colchester County, Cumberland County and East Hants Municipality. Families in Pictou County can call toll free 1-866-428-4696.)

A few helpful points:
If your child is attending the same school this year and their address has not changed their bus information will be the same unless the someone from Student Transportation has contacted you.
Any updates from Power School may not be available until after Monday, August 29th, 2022
If you have additional questions after accessing bus planner, Student Transportation can be accessed by calling 1-866-428-4696. Monday thru Friday 8am – 4pm.
Contact Student Transportation
CCRCE is pleased to provide families with an easier way to reach our Transportation Department for questions regarding student busing. The new 1-800 number will provide access to all busing offices in the four areas in our region (Colchester, East Hants, Pictou and Cumberland Counties).
The recording will direct you to which number to select for the specific bus area you want to reach. We will have extra staff on hand for the few days before and after school starts to help address additional call volumes.
NEW* Toll Free Phone Number to reach our Student Transportation Team: 1-866-428-4696.
Please note there will not be an option to leave a message and depending on call volumes you may be placed on a short hold. As we are still in the process of upgrading our phone system, not all features are available and unfortunately if all of our lines are in use, the next caller will receive a busy signal. Please hang up and try back.
We appreciate your patience as we start off the new school year.

For grade 7, students are encouraged to use one binder for their classes (Math, English, French,
Social Studies, Health, Science, Tech. Ed, Family Studies and Art). Teachers will model organizational skills
through the use of the binder for storage of class materials, notes, worksheets, etc. We are asking students
to provide a quality binder as it should last throughout the year and will be carried from class to class each
day. Each term, students will be prompted to tidy up their binder and materials will be sent home.
(Note: In previous years, many students have found using binder with a zipper to be very helpful with organization)
