What is the Home and School Association?
Dr. WA MacLeod Home and School Association (HSA) is the volunteer and fundraising group of the parent/guardian community. Much of our responsibility is to provide a platform for our community to become engaged in the activities and fundraising at our school which help to enhance your child’s education experience.
Every parent and guardian are a member of the HSA, and our events also promote and help to build our cohesive community!
HSA Executive:
Co-Chairs: Tori Mackay and vacant
Treasurer: Alah White
Secretary: Shannon MacPherson
Administration: Ann Findlay, Principal
Administration: Mandy Little, Vice-Principal
When Does HSA Meet?
HSA meetings are typically held on the second Wednesday of every month (sometimes less frequently) at 6:30 pm in person or by Zoom. Meetings last about one hour and your attendance is welcome and encouraged!
How Does HSA Raise Money?
The HSA organizes several fundraiser events each year. The money raised by these HSA events help fund classroom activities and/or classroom enhancements.
If you have any questions about how the money we raise is used during the school year, please feel free to come to one of our monthly meetings as budget review is always at the top of the agenda!
